RS An-Nisa initially operated as a Rumah Bersalin (Maternity Hospital) established in 1991. In 2000, the facility transitioned to a Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak (Mother and Child Hospital). Reflecting the ongoing urban development and population growth in Tangerang City, the institution further evolved into a Rumah Sakit Umum (General Hospital) in 2008. As of 2015, RS An-Nisa has been classified as a type C General Hospital.

The hospital is committed to promoting community health, aiming to reduce disease prevalence and lower mortality rates. Over the years, public trust in RS An-Nisa has steadily increased, enabling the hospital to enhance its healthcare services for the wider community.

In support of improving patient experience, RS An-Nisa has introduced the "ASHA" application, which facilitates online registration and streamlines administrative processes for patients.
